What to Expect

Here are some answers to commonly asked questions from employers.

  • What if my company cannot support another full-time employee?

While some candidates are looking for full-time work, many are looking for part-time employment for as little as a few hours a week.  Even if your company financially cannot support an employee at this time, we often are looking for relatable work environments for job seekers to assess and build their skills as part of a ‘Community Based Assessment’.

  •  What needs do employees with developmental disabilities require?

Prior to the job search, we perform an assessment with Clark County to address any potential needs.  We will not suggest a candidate that would be a bad fit for the position, which includes any requirements that may seem excessive.  The County offers to pay for tools that may assist in the employment process, in addition to the professional hours with our Associates in your workplace.

  • What types of roles can these job seekers serve?

Capabilities vary dramatically based upon the individual, with most employees serving in entry-level positions such as house keepers, custodians, lobby attendants, and dish washers.  For many, it depends on the duties and how it appeals to their communication and learning styles.  Find the ideal fit, and an employee may exceed traditional expectations.  Our candidates are often dedicated individuals looking for an opportunity to be a productive member of society.
